The 4th of July brings lots of red\, white and blue to our small orange town as we celebrate this holiday nationwide!  \n7:00am: The first annual Pickle Ball Smash begins at 7:00am at Jaycee Park. Prizes for 1st\, 2nd & 3rd place! $20 per player. Balls provided\, commemorative t-shirt (if registered by 6.26) **Bring your own paddle** Contact Maria at 575.703.5223 for any questions \n7:00am: The Firecracker Golf Scramble is a 4-player scramble with tee times beginning at 7:00am. Come play golf and help fund Artesaia’s Fireworks Show! For more information click below for the application. \n9:00am: Independence Day Parade at 9:00am. Line up begins at West Main Baptist Church at 8:00am. Pick up – Walmart parking lot. Decorate a car\, truck\, trailer or bike and join in the fun! It’s free to enter. For more information please call Desirae Collins at (575)-495-0197 or Glenda Collins at (575)-365-4255. \n9:00am: 4 v 4 Co-ed Volleyball Tournament! Registration begins at 8:00am. DESCRIPTION:Mardi Gras\nThe Artesia High School Student Council sponsors Homecoming 2023 against the Lovington Wildcats\n(school colors: royal blue and white) with the traditional Homecoming Parade scheduled for\nFriday\, September 22\, 2023\, at 4:00 p.m. Student Council asks this year’s participants to\ncreate their entry around this year’s theme\, A fat bulldog Friday; Take over Mardi Gras! All those who want to participate in the parade must officially register through the high school. \nThe deadline to participate in the parade is Thursday\, September 14\, 2023\, at 3:30 pm. \nParade entrants will line up INSIDE BULLDOG BOWL PARKING LOT ONLY; rows will be\nmarked; and officials will assist entries. The parade will proceed east on Main Street to Second Street\,\nmoving on the south side of the median only. At 2nd Street\, participants will turn south to Richardson\nStreet\, moving either to the high school parking lots or returning to Bulldog Bowl to disband. \nAccess to Bulldog Boulevard WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to anyone except the queen and her court\nand the AHS Band. Personal vehicles will not be allowed on Bulldog Boulevard. PARENTS who have\nchildren in the parade must park in the auditorium parking lot\, then walk their children to the floats.\nAccess to the south side of the parking lot will not be permitted\, except to parade entries.
