ARTESIA HISTORIAL MUSEUM & ART CENTER
The Artesia Historical Museum and Art Center will be displaying the Fashionable Founding Fathers exhibit until September 30 in the Art Center. This display is open from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Tuesdays through Saturdays. This is a showcase of menswear in 1905, the year Artesia became a town and is FREE to the public. ARTESIA MAINSTREET
Trick or Treat MainStreet is quickly approaching (October 29), and Artesia MainStreet is starting to collect CANDY for this citywide event. Here are drop off locations for you to help support MainStreet with candy.
ARTESIA PUBLIC LIBRARY
Tuesdays 10:00 am: Preschool Story Time (For ages 3-5. Includes stories and language activities, along with STEM learning, crafts, music, and social/play time.)
Wednesdays 10:00 am: Mother Goose (For ages birth to 3. Rhymes, stories, puppets, and baby games to enhance brain development and language.)
Thursdays 11:00 am: Toddler Move & Play (For ages 1-3. Includes group musical activities and social/play time with age-appropriate toys.)
Thursdays 4:00 pm: STEAM After School (Grades K-6. Includes activities such as science experiments, Rok Blocks, LEGOs, circuits, and coding games.)
The Friends of the Library is looking for volunteers to advocate for and support library programs and events. Pick up an application at the library.
The library is looking for creative people to help with the Halloween Fun haunted house and the Holiday Shindig winter wonderland. Contact vmartin@artesianm.gov

YUCCA BLOSSOM TRADE DAYS
September 17 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sept 18 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Eddy County Fairgrounds is the Summer’s End Yucca Blossom Trade Days. Over 90 booths to shop with, children’s activities, food trucks, entertainment from the County Line Band and Charlie’s Angels. More information here
ARTESIA GENERAL HOSPITAL OPEN HOUSE
Thursday, September 22 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at 608 N. 13 St. Suite 500. It’s a great opportunity to meet their new podiatrist, Joseph Michael Krupa, DPM and tour the new office for podiatrists. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.
ARTESIA HIGH SCHOOL CAREER FAIR
Wednesday, September 28 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm is the 2nd Annual APS Career Fair. It will be held on campus in an effort to teach students all about future careers. GREEN CHILE COOKOFF
