CLARY SAGE JULY HOURS
Clary Sage is the super cute shoppe inside Artesia Family Wellness located at 412 W. Main St.
Their July hours will be: Wed-Fri 10am-6pm
“FREE” PRE-PACKAGED MEALS FOR KIDDOS THIS SUMMER
Beginning 5/30/23 Artesia Public Schools will be providing “FREE” pre-packaged meals (Breakfast & Lunch) to children ages 1 to 18 on the following dates:
-Tuesday, May 30, 2023
-Then every Monday in June & July they will send you home with 7 Breakfasts & 7 Lunches
*Special dates to note-no meals will be served Monday July 3rd, instead it will be Wednesday July 5th (3 of each meal)
And Monday July 24th will be 6 of each meal instead of the normal 7.
They will serve meals at the following sites (Artesia Junior High “Park Jr. High”, Artesia Intermediate/”Zia”, Grand Heights, and Roselawn)
Meals will be served from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Children must be present when picking up meals. If you have any questions, please contact Cody Skinner or Julie Sedillos in the Administration Office 575-746-3585.

CHASE FOUNDATION COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
Wednesday, June 21st, Thursday, June 22nd, & Friday, June 23rd, 2023
Artesia High School student recipients of the Chase Foundation Scholarship will be volunteering to do community service jobs. The community service will be to assist the Senior Citizens of Artesia. Students will be in groups with an adult supervisor. They will be available for yard work, cleaning outside windows, and various odd jobs as needed. They will have all the equipment they need and are not allowed to enter the homes.

They have sign-up sheets located at the Artesia Meal Site, Artesia Chamber of Commerce, Artesia Senior Center, and Pecos Valley Broadcasting (KSVP Radio station).

Thursday, June 22, 2023 Outdoor Scary Movie Night at Sunset (Around 8:45pm) at The Derrick Floor (bronze statue on Mainstreet) Click here for all the details. The Hang Out seeks to provide teens with a positive environment to connect with each other and with the community. Plans are underway to provide teens with fun and free events throughout the summer, as of now they are planning an outdoor movie night somewhere downtown every other Thursday night! DOWNTOWN ARTESIA PATRIOTIC WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST
Help Artesia decorate the town, celebrate the holiday, and draw attention to its local businesses by entering and/or voting in the first-time ever, Artesia MainStreet Patriotic Window Decorating Contest!
ENTRIES*: Open to all Artesia MainStreet District businesses (from 1st – 7th Streets and between Texas Ave and Quay). Patriotic window decorations/displays may also include their business name within their display.*Accepted entries must be deemed in good taste overall and avoid promoting nor denigrating any individual, organization, cause, or political party as evaluated by the AMS Window Contest Committee.
PRIZES: First Place: ¼ business spotlight ad in Artesia Daily Press, guest star on AMS radio time with KSVP
All other participants will be entered into a random drawing for a 2×5 business spotlight ad in Artesia Daily Press
VOTING: • Voting will be open from June 16th through midnight on July 4th. • All votes shall be electronically cast by visiting the Window Contest page and reviewing the entries on Facebook @artesiamainstreet• Winners will be announced on July 5th, based upon the number of votes received through midnight July 4th. • In the event of a voting tie or voting discrepancies, the Window Contest Committee’s decisions will be final.
ENTRIES: 1. Entering is FREE! Submit contest entries from June 15 th through June 29 th via email to artesiamainstreet@pvtn.net
2. Include contact information including the business name, a personal contact name, an email address and phone number. By submitting an entry photo, participants agree to all contest rules and decisions of the AMS Window Contest Committee.
