BALLOONS AND TUNES
Nov 1st-Nov 3rd, 2024. Artesia Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to celebrate 41 years of the hot air balloon rally in Artesia, New Mexico! We kick things off Friday, November 1 with Balloons, Bands, and Brews, a super fun downtown event at the corner of 5th & Texas featuring the AHS Marching band, and AHS Cheerleaders as well as a few other local bands! Meet the balloon pilots, see the balloon mural, enjoy food trucks, live music, fire concert, and balloon glow! Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3, join us at sunrise at Eagle Draw Park to watch hot air balloons lift over Artesia! All events weather permitting! WHERE’S WALDO HALLOWEEN SCAVENGER HUNT!
Waldo, the nostalgic book character will be making his appearance all over Artesia! All chamber members are welcome to participate in this Where’s Waldo Halloween Scavenger Hunt. Artesia Chamber of Commerce, Artesia Mainstreet, & Artesia Arts Council are partnering up to promote your business and kick off the Holiday Shopping season early.
Here’s how it will work:
- Reply “YES” to this email if your business would like to participate.
- We will deliver an embossed paper Waldo cutout.
- Simply hide it somewhere in your business on or before 10.24.2024.
- The public will have 1 week (10.24.24 – 10.31.24) to find as many hidden Waldos around Artesia as they can.
- They then turn the Waldos in to the Chamber of Commerce and we will gift them with Chamber Bucks (which can only be spent locally with chamber members) and they will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize.
Please respond by Friday Oct 18th to participate and we will deliver your paper Waldo the following week of 10/21. We encourage you to come up with your own special promotion for a chance to have a Live Waldo at your place of business on Friday Oct 25th from 10am-Noon for an extra fun touch! Tuesday, October 15, 2024 You are invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Eddy County Complex on October 15th, following the County Commission meeting. The ceremony will be held at 1502 Corrales Drive, the location of the Sheriff’s Office, on the south end of town. This is a significant milestone for the future of Eddy County, and they are thrilled to celebrate it with you. Saturday, October 26, 2024 Trick-or-Treat MainStreet in downtown Artesia, NM will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Main Street between 2nd and 7th Streets. The event will feature free candy for kids, a variety of food trucks, a costume contest, and more fun activities for the whole family. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween in a safe and festive environment!
